Candlelit Evening Hour • Pinch
A gentle, mindful hour in the studio by candlelight. You will be guided through the most relaxing and ancient art of pinching clay and create a set of up to four delicate pieces — we suggest oyster-shaped and palm-sized dishes, beautiful for trinkets, jewelry, incense, salts or spices however coffee, espresso or sake cups and saucers, or one larger piece such as a rustic plate or bowl is also very possible with this beautiful practice. You’ll be guided to create the pieces you want to create.
Notes and Details
We offer this workshop once a month, on a Wednesday evening (19.00–20.00)
A set of up to four pieces, depending on the size you opt for
With in our beautiful, rustic stoneware “Toast,” which is a warm earthy brown
Your work will be glazed and fired for you after the workshop in a transparent glaze, ready to collect around a month later (sometimes a little longer in winter with longer drying times).
Or you can opt to return for a glazing workshop should you wish to explore adding colour to the surface of your vessel. Just add-on a glazing workshop below, and explore not only block beautiful colours but create expressive finishes in brushwork and glaze splatters across the surface.
